If you want to become a professional gambler in Las Vegas how money do you need to start out with?
I wουld really lіkе tο bе a professional poker player bυt thе US government hаѕ screwed mе over bу banning online poker fοr real money. Hοw much money dο уου need іn Vegas οr wουld іt bе better tο living іn Atlantic City, NJ?

it’s really unlikely that you will ever get to be professional , it’s not about the amount of money you need to start , but to be excellent , if you suck you can lose everything …
Depends on the stakes. I’ve seen $20 buy-ins all the way up to $10,000 buy-ins. You would have to win all of the time to be a professional gambler, and it’s a million times harder when people are at the table with you than playing online.
you need to play those online poker games to practice, and you need to practice A LOT. there are many with the same dream as you.
you should also find local poker games, play with friends… anything that helps you learn about the game and helps you learn how to access other people’s playing
It shouldn’t make a difference whether you play in Vegas or AC. Vegas has higher-stakes games than AC but it also has the same low-stakes games available (1/2 no-limit cash games, and cheap tourneys). If I were you I’d choose Vegas.
If you’re talking about cash games, standard BRM says you’d need $4,000 to play 1/2 NL, and I reckon that sounds about right. I don’t know anything about how you play, I assume you used to win online but you didn’t say what stakes or format. If I were starting from scratch again, I reckon I’d be safe with $3000. But I have a lot of experience playing live 1/2 so I know exactly what ranges to place the 1/2 donkeys on, and how they respond to certain lines and bets. Since you’re used to online play which is much different, you’re better off starting with 4k to be on the safe side. And with a 4k bankroll you should buy-in for $200 instead of the max $300.
But before going pro, I reckon you should also be able to beat 2/5. I don’t reckon poker would be a safe career choice for someone who can only beat 1/2.
If you’re talking about tourneys, I don’t know, you can question this on TwoPlusTwo.
